Compatibility Guide
Single Stack 1911
Our triggers are designed for double stack 1911s and their grips. None of our triggers will work in single stack grips of any brand or other platforms.
Henning Group Grip
Our Prodigy Grip ST Triggers give an excellent fit in the Henning DS1911/2011 grips after minor fitting of the shoe. Fitting should be limited to light filing/stoning of the top or bottom of the trigger shoe.
Our line up of shoes available for the Prodigy will be expanded throughout the first half of 2026 to the Classic and DSC Solid design. Until then, the Alpha Foxtrot Romulus DS Grip ST Trigger can also be fitted but there will be more horizontal play than some may desire.
Gen 1 STI
The trigger track dimensions on the STI Gen 1 grips are a little tighter than the current Staccato grips. If the Gen 1 STI grip is unmodified, then we would recommend our Cheely ST Triggers. Minor fitting is still a possibility, but should be limited to .001″-.002″ off the top or bottom of the trigger shoe.
If a Gen 1 STI grip has been fitted and modified for a different aftermarket trigger, then we would recommend our full size Staccato ST Triggers. As with most aftermarket 2011 parts, minor fitting may be required. If you get the trigger and the fit is not what you were expecting we will always honor a refund request of unused and unmodified triggers.
MJD Solutions
Our Kimber 2K11 triggers give a good fit in the MJD grips. Our Cheely triggers do fit well vertically but leave a little more side to side play in the trigger. Please also indicate that the trigger is for an MJD Solutions grip in the order notes for future reference if any questions or concerns arise. As with most aftermarket 2011 parts, minor fitting may be required but should be limited to stoning/filing the top or bottom of the trigger shoe or the fitting tabs on the bow. If you get the trigger and the fit is not what you were expecting we will always honor a refund request of unused and unmodified triggers.Girsan
Our Kimber 2K11 triggers give a good fit in the Girsan OEM grips. Our Cheely triggers do fit well vertically but leave a little more side to side play in the trigger. Please also indicate that the trigger is for a Girsan OEM grip in the order notes for future reference if any questions or concerns arise. As with most aftermarket 2011 parts, minor fitting may be required but should be limited to stoning/filing the top or bottom of the trigger shoe or the fitting tabs on the bow. If you get the trigger and the fit is not what you were expecting we will always honor a refund request of unused and unmodified triggers.Icarus Precision
Our Phoenix Trinity ST Triggers are a great fit for the Icarus Precision 2011 Grips after fitting the top of the shoe.
The Icarus Precision grip is tight enough that we have found any shoe will need to be fitted down. Only the top of the shoe will need to be filed down in a level and even manner on our Phoenix Trinity triggers.
Please also indicate that the trigger is for an Icarus Precision grip in the order notes for future reference if any questions or concerns arise.

Fusion Firearms XP Pro
Due to heavy gunsmith modification needed, a best fit trigger for the XP Pro is not data we have experimented with. We only know it is possible due to Luke at Abnormal Gunworks offering the service to modify triggers for the Fusion XP Pro. If you wish, you can contact him to discuss what services he offers or what models he has found best fits in his experience.Instagram: @AbnormalGunWorks

Our Cheely ST Triggers have been successfully fitted in the RIA double stack 1911 pistols. They have also been fitted in the discontinued Para double stack 1911 guns.
Customers have reported that gunsmith fitting was needed, especially on the vertical fitting tabs on the back of the bow.
Please also indicate that the trigger is for an RIA grip in the order notes for future reference if any questions or concerns arise.
As with most aftermarket 2011 parts, fitting may be required. If you get the trigger and the fit is not what you were expecting we will always honor a refund request of unused and unmodified triggers.
Watchtower Defense
Our full size Staccato triggers give a great final fit.
Fitting will be required, usually about .001″ of polish / material remove from the bottom of the shoe.
Live Free Armory
Our full size Staccato triggers give a great final fit.
Fitting may be required, usually about .001″ – .002″ of polish / material remove from the bottom or top of the shoe.
Cosaint Arms
Our full size Staccato triggers give a great final fit.
Fitting may be required, usually about .001″ – .002″ of polish / material remove from the bottom or top of the shoe.
Bul Armory
Our Kimber 2k11 triggers should be minimal to no fitting / tuning required in a Bul grip. They allow a little more play in the shoe than we would like.
Our MAC Kilo trigger (https://reddirt-usa.com/mac-
tisas-ds-grip/) can give a very good final fitment. Some fitting will probably be required. The shoe is wide enough that if the tolerances stack the wrong way then a polish the sides of the trigger track in the grip will be needed, .001″ or less. The bottom of the shoe may need a polish also, about .001″ again. Some have reported a drop in success and others have said they had to do some fitting. The Mac Kilo shoe is right on the edge of being oversized in the Bul grips it appears.
GP Arms
Our Prodigy triggers measure very close to the dimensions of the GP Arms’ OEM trigger. Several customers have successfully reported their use in the GP Arms OEM grip. If you have any issues please contact us at customerservice@reddirt-usa.com , we are happy to help!
